First off, we want to say a massive welcome to Sheffield and to the wonderful world of Studentdom you are about to enter! We want to do whatever we can to help you settle in and find a home here in Sheffield. We’re so excited that you’re heading to Sheffield and will so look forward to meeting you. The first few weeks in a new city can often be really daunting, so we want to try to make it a little bit easier wherever we can. This page just has a bit more intro about who we are, but also has some top tips from last year’s students on how to make the most of your first few weeks.

Making life easier...

We want to do whatever we can to make life a little easier when you arrive here in Sheffield so you feel at home as soon as possible. We would love to meet you and help you transition into life here so would be well up for meeting you on your first day or week and giving you ‘the grand tour’... we’d also be up for arranging a meal for you in your first week with one of our amazing families here at become who cook delicious food!! Maybe you’d like picking up for church or would just value having a coffee with a friendly face during your first few weeks... any of these and anything else you can think of (nothing illegal or immoral!!) we'd love to help you with.
